Hi, my name is Squatch and I am the owner and
operator of Après Mountain Apparel. I started this line with the dream of
becoming a household name in the snow sports. I started skiing in 2015 at the
age of 16. Just a small-town boy from rural eastern North Carolina. I grew up
in a military household and played ice hockey my whole life. In 2015 my life
changed forever when my family took a ski trip to Sugar Mountain in Western
North Carolina. Having a background in ice hockey gave me an edge on skis and I
quickly became quite proficient. The love not only grew for the sport, but also
the mountains. Unlike the west coast, here in NC we only need heavy weather
material few and far between during the season as the temperatures rarely drop below
zero. As I got older and started enjoying more than just the slopes, I started
looking for more lounging wear, like sweatshirts and joggers to hang out after
the slopes, stylish yet warm. There were not too many options and even less
that were affordable. I started Après to combine style, comfort, quality, and
affordability in to one warm bundle because snow sports can be for everyone.
